One of my favourite blog and I am a frequent reader of it, is New York Daily Photo. Great stories, great buildings and people… A type of blog what you should read not only before you visiting New York but during the whole year, because it gives a piece of mood from The City. The reason I write because, the other day I have saw the picture of the Central Synagogue in New York and also the comment that it was designed by Henry Fernbach after Budapest's Dohány street Synagogue. Only looking at the synagogue facade (using a little Photoshop and cutting the sides of the picture) it would be hard to tell which one was taken at Budapest and New York. I believe it didn’t take much time to redraw the plans.
It will sound strange but we could say that we have found a little Dohány utca in New York, as we say that Nagymező street is the Broadway of Budapest.
